GT4 1450mm Wing Overview: 

After experimenting with several design options to increase the performance of the OEM wing, we quickly realized that the OEM airfoil was never meant to produce a significant amount of downforce but clearly focused on low drag and reducing lift. In order to see a significant increase in performance we needed to create an entirely new wing with a more functional airfoil. After extensive computer testing and modeling, we bring to you our latest design. 
The DBJ 1450mm curved carbon fiber wing for the Cayman GT4 was designed with convenience in mind. Because it fits the OEM wing stands, the 1450mm wing will also fit all aftermarket wing stands. It only takes 4 bolts to swap and can be done in less than 10 minutes. Measuring the same overall width as the OEM wing, the DBJ 1450mm wing sports a wider 300mm chord length and takes full advantage of the new airfoil to increase downforce. Dependent on the set angle of attack (AOA), you can expect 60-100% increase in downforce over the stock wing. The wing can be set to 6 different angles (1, 3, 5, 6, 8 & 10 deg). When mounted on the OEM wing stand and set to 5 degrees, this wing produces 78lbs of downforce at only 80mph while only adding 15lbs of drag. At 120mph this is 175lbs of downforce! 
If that isn't enough for you, pair our 1450mm wing with aftermarket risers such as RSNV risers and see a significant bump in performance! Running the wing just 3" higher yields roughly 20% increase in downforce (20lbs) and 30% reduction in drag (6lbs). This brings the total output to 100lbs of downforce and 9lbs of increased drag at 80mph which is 2.5 times the production of the OEM rear wing. The wing is made from 3mm thick autoclaved carbon fiber ensuring the best quality of strength and stiffness. Powdercoated in matte black, the CNCed aluminum wing mounts mate to the underside curve of the wing to blend in with the airfoil and minimize interruption to flow. The endplates are also constructed from 3mm thick carbon fiber and have counter sunk screws to give a clean flush look.

3D Scanning & Prototyping

Each DBJ product goes through several rigorous design phases. Starting from scratch, we collect high accuracy scanned data from cars to ensure great fitment. Data is then processed and models and designs are created using CAD software. Prototyping using 3D rapid prototyping printers are used to confirm scans and fitment. Sometimes we are able to print out entirely functional parts for road and track testing. 

Computational Fluid Dynamics

Initial designs are tested using both finite element analysis (FEA) and computation fluid dynamics (CFD). Both these methods require several iterations to ensure proper performance and optimization of DBJ parts. 

Real world testing

Finally once the design is completed, we test our prototypes on the street and track! Thoroughly test driving our products helps ensure that our customers have nothing but the best experiences when it comes to installation and performance results.
